JUST in time to welcome AUTUMN home holiday decor and primitive collecting for Reenactments into your country home comes this wonderful mouth blown Primitive Colonial 18th style American Wine and Spirit Trumpet stemmed Glass. Please refer to pictures above starting with relative size in my hand, opening picture, from there, take a full round view tour as item is clear glass.
The handmade mouth blown pontil marked bottom Trumpet shaped very heavy Glass has an inside captured teardrop bubble in the stem, giving visual interest, where your eyes just want to touch it all over before you even get to handle it! That is the feeling I got when I selected this for you on a buying trip that was a special Bottle Show where glass items were the main feature, I spotted this and just jumped for it!  Everything then was considered pride and precious on the farmstead, and today we find the same joy in re-using these sturdy hand made vintage items. You will be able to TOAST with a MOST precious accurate Wine Glass!
Form follows function as the saying goes, and this 7.5" tall Wine Glass has a thick stem for you to grasp and resist breakage being so sturdy a riser to the flared interior which you will put to your LIP to SIP a delicious spirit in genuine Gentry style. Holding it up to the light you can see turned concentric circle marks teased with tiny air bubbles during the mouth blown production. There is one bubble I see that is very elongated and very precise. The round base has a thick rolled desireable foot, this Glass has all the "bells and whistles" the serious collector searches for.
This is NOT a cheap wine glass, it very much may be Blenko vintage glass or craft shop from times past. It is very heavy for its size and will not tip over. Please hand wash this item in the future if you purchase it, please treat it as you would handle a valuable antique, this Glass has real BONES, no bones about that fact!!! I have priced it at half its true value for the savvy Officer, or GentlePerson to snap up a CLASS GLASS full of SASS!!!!
I  used a Pyrex glass kitchen marked measuring cup with water, and discovered Wine Glass will hold exactly 2/3 cup equating to 5 ounces, which is considered one wine-pour serving at a bar. So there you have it, drink up and sup!
