    Description

This is for one (1) pair of matching valances.  These are exquisitely custom handmade featuring hand done wool crewelwork in an 18th C/Jacobean style floral motifs in a creamy pale yellow linen valance. Valance is lined in cotton and beautifully made.  Rod pocket casing at top.
I had purchased them at an estate sale thinking I would cut out the crewel motifs to make 18th C pockets for women out of them, but once I got them, I just did not have the heart to destroy the fine work of the valances themselves and used them as window valances.  Once you own them you can do as you wish!
One is very long, 106" and could be cut into smaller window dimensions if needed.
    One is 62 3/4" long.
Both are lined, both have rod pockets, both are 8 1/4" wide from rod pocket to bottom of finished hem.
No stains, rips, tears or loose crewel.  Colors are bright and beautiful.  These are handwrought, NOT machine-done crewel like some modern reproduction upholstery materials are.  See photos for details!
The would be lovely in a sunny kitchen or dining room or even bedroom.  Such a conversation piece and heirloom pieces!
