NWOT Creamy Rosebud Print Cotton Colonial Outlander Hamilton Dress Gown XL/L. 18th century style.
Handmade by me here in suburban Chicago of all new materials right off the bolt. Back zip closure with hook and eye at the top. Nice historical detail! 3/4 sleeve with elbow pleat ends in a deep lined ruffle, square neckline, fully lined and darted bodice. Cartridge pleated skirt means a double depth of fullness in the creamy, smooth cotton fabric called “Rosebud “.
Actual garment measurements are:
Shoulder. 17.5” across
Bust. 41”
Sleeve length. 15.5” plus ruffle
Waist. 35”
Zip. 22”
Skirt length. 38.5”
Skirt width. 80”
My dress form is a bit small for this larger size, it fills up nicely in the shoulders and bodice with a real person in it! I’ve made this pattern many, many times for theater-the actors like it for comfort and the costumers like it for ease of alteration.
S3723 in a pattern size 16.
