New debut listing this week for those who seek warm hands, we've got your mid Winter gift to thyself right here: a brand new pair of 100% BLUE Wool Colonial Fingerless Gloves, size Large, period correct patterning and soft to the touch, no scratchy feeling. Please see my wife's hand above modelling them for you to view.
Made entirely in the USA of soft virgin wool, they are made Unisex styling, so do note, if a tiny hand like my wife, they may appear overwhelming at the fingertips, which are supposed to be open so that you can tie ropes, saddle your horse, ties bundles, close gates, etc. They will easily fit Medium Woman or Adult regular Mens Hand sizing better.
Note the finished Rolled Edge of each finger opening to prevent unravelling, and the strong wide ribbed cuff which does have a hint of hidden elastic to keep tight and right on your wrist area. The bottom edge is finished off in blue thread, while the body of the main glove is a beautiful woven tight, even appearance of excellent quality. They are meant to look good, but moreso, keep you warm and colonial minded outdoors and in unheated workshops and barns. The color is a medium let's say true Navy Blue, in colonial times Indigo, coal and nutshells were used to create such colors. They measure 8.5" cuff to fingertip, adequate for most average persons (except petitie ladies--too big.) Kindly note as NO RETURNS, ALL SALES final during COVID in NJ.
