JUST in time to welcome Holiday Georgian 2022 costuming and dress up for Early Regency Period era Reenactments (1775-1825's) for your Necklace Piece comes this wonderful hand made and softly sewn (NO glue used) Pink Rose Choker/Ruff Ribbon.  Please refer to pictures above starting with relative size in my hand, opening picture, from there, take a full round view tour of the item including size in my fingers.
The handmade combination machine and hand stitched Ribbon is ivory satin with five large flat "Cabbage Roses" like you see in garden centers in Fall. Each one is pastel pink with deep whorls and pastel green ribbon loop leaves. The edge is adorned with matching ivory lace scallops to add feminine charm when you wear it. It is a wide soft ribbon Ruff designed to pair with Silk Ballgowns for the evening dinner and dance event so widely enjoyed by Gentry colonial society. Everything then was considered pride and precious on the 18th c home, and today we find the same joy in re-using these lovely hand made items of good character and period fit.
Form follows function as the saying goes, and this 36" long---nearly one yard, sized one size fits all women----and 2.25" wide--- will do the job for colonial "jewelry". Simply tie onto neck with a nice bow in the rear (Your hair should be in an updo with one curl hanging on shoulder.) This will complete the early period dressy colonial style for Polonaise and Sacqueback Gowns. The lace on the necklace should complement your sleeve flounces.
